|#Ferguson This looks like a scene from the 1960's. The cops have dogs! Reminds me of these pre-Zimbabwe independence pictures I've seen or apartheid pictures.|

Murica's trigger happy police
You know, growing up opens your eyes to a lot of things (assuming you actually want to open them that is). When I was younger, almost everyone I knew dreamt of going to live in or at visiting the mighty United States of America. It was after all, the land of milk and honey (or so we all thought). Heaven on earth. The land of FREEDOM. Everyone bought into the idea of the "American dream". However, the more I see and learn about this nation, the more I realise this freedom they always go on about is reserved for certain sections of society i.e. if you are black then forget it dude!
America, America! What I want to know is where exactly do they get the balls to sit on their high horse and preach human rights and peace to other countries when they are busy running riot and slaughtering their own? Granted, the whole world in upside down what with Syria, Egypt, Ukraine, Isis in Iraq, Boko Haram in West Africa etc. There are human rights abuses all over the globe that desperately need to be addressed. However, what really annoys me about "Murica" is how they like to point out what wrong everyone else doing and yet turn a blind eye to their own murderous cops. What really is going on with these American cops though? Do they have some sort of a quota of black people they have to kill or something? There is no justice for the Treyvon Martins, the Michael Browns and the Pearlie Golden's of America whilst the George Zimmermans get off scott free.
Just look at how the demostrators in Ferguson are being demonised. Demonised for demanding justice. Justice which I can bet will never be served whilst the killer is chilling somewhere on paid leave, waiting for the storm to blow over. Yes, there are thugs who will take advantage of the situation and loot and destroy property. They need to be arrested and punished. However, that should not be the main focus of the story! Why are they trying to belittle what happened to Michael Brown and make it more about a handful of opportunistic thugs? What a sad, sad world we live in! I wonder how much more police brutality is going on over there that people are too afraid to speak up about? Interesting though how in almost all of these latest cases, the cops are white and the victims black. I'm certainly not saying the police should not do their job but the frequency of cases where black people are shot a killed by white police in unclear circumstances is just ridiculously high!
America just needs to sit down and get its house in order first because from where I'm sitting, there's a hell of a lot work that needs to be done to address human rights violations in their own back yard!
